Owners: My initial introduction with Emerald made me feel instantly welcomed and at home. Her joy shines brightly and her genuine care for people was evident from my first hello. What is special about Emerald is that she is not looking to sell her venue. She wants people to fall in love with the space, not simply sell a summer weekend. Her transparency and desire to honor her mother with the property is incredibly beautiful. The intention and care that has gone into each space tells the story of a family full of love. The history that the estate holds gives it a timeless and timely vibe. Each room in the house has a statement piece that tells a story and draws the visitor into the family and the traditions. Emerald began our tour with a shared moment on the sun porch, an opportunity to sit together in the tranquility of the moment and get to know one another. If rain is forecast for your big day, the estate provides a beautiful clear top tent for the ceremony space. The tented pavilion reception is a blank slate for you to design the reception of your dreams. Penobscot Bay Estate provides 8 foot farm tables and chiavari chairs and you are free to provide the rest of the details that make your reception personal and memorable.
The endless waterfront views offer countless opportunities for stunning wedding photos and opportunity to relax and just be in the moment. Emerald has created countless spaces around the property for you guests to sit and be fully enveloped in the natural beauty that surrounds them.
Lodging: The accommodations are truly unique and can sleep up to 16 people. Each guest cabin has its own private bathroom and offers a shared kitchen for all your pre and post wedding festivities. Your wedding party and close family will appreciate the ease of staying on site, close to all the weekend celebrations. The honeymoon cottage, just steps from the ceremony site, is a luxurious retreat for the newlywed couple. Each space is meticulously designed to tell a timeless story while including all the charm and comfort of the Maine coast.
